These weren't bad businesses. They were great businesses run by hardworking people who simply couldn't be in two places at once.

The math was brutal: the average small business misses 22% of incoming calls. For a contractor getting 50 calls a month with an average job value of $1,500, that's $16,500 in lost revenue every single month — not from bad leads, but from good ones that nobody picked up.

I tried recommending traditional answering services. They were expensive, impersonal, and read from scripts that made callers feel like they'd reached a call center. Clients canceled them within months.

So we built something different.
